Seth Rogen and Kristen Wiig join Prime Video spin-off series of R-rated animated 2016 film
Sausage Party: Foodtopia season 1 is the first season of the adult black comedy animated TV series for Prime Video from showrunners Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter. The series was brought to life with the collaborative efforts of Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Shaffir and Hunter who co-wrote the original film. Rogen, known for his portrayal of Frank the existential sausage, returned as an executive producer for Sausage Party: Foodtopia. Conrad Vernon, the director of the original film, took on the role of supervisor for the eight-season TV series while also serving as an executive producer. Working alongside James Weaver, Alex McAtee, Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu and Andrew Millstein, Vernon brought his expertise to this exciting venture.
The animated spin-off featured the return of Seth Rogen and Kristen Wiig, reprising their roles as Frank and Brenda, the hot dog bun. Michael Cera returned as Barry, accompanied by David Krumholtz as Kareem Abdul Lavash and Edward Norton as Sammy Bagel Jr. New additions included Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Natasha Rothwell and Yassir Lester.
