As they progress through the next phases of life, love and friendship, the group must manage a variety of tasks including preparing for exams, organizing a school trip to Paris and planning a prom.
Heartstopper season 2 is the second season for the coming-of-age romantic dramedy series created by Alice Oseman for Netflix. The series is based on Oseman's successful webcomic and six-volume graphic novel series of the same name. It follows the budding friendship between high schoolers Nick and Charlie as it progresses to being more than friends. Following the major success of its first season, Netflix quickly announced a double renewal of Heartstopper. The first season earned a slot in Netflix’s Top 10 English series just two days following its initial release which indicates just how popular the series is. The second season consists of eight episodes.
Kit Connor and Joe Locke return for season 2 portraying adoring love-birds Nick and Charlie respectively. Other cast members reprising their roles include Yasmin Finney as Elle, William Gao as Tao, Tobie Donovan as Isaac, Corinna Brown as Tara, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy, Sebastian Croft as Ben, Rhea Norwood as Imogen and Jenny Walser as Tori.
The second season also welcomes a number of new cast members. Jack Barton stars as Nick's older brother, David. Nima Taleghani portrays Mr. Farouk, a schoolteacher at Truham. Bradley Riches, who appeared as a Truham student in S1, returns in a named role as James McEwan. Bel Priestley and Ash Self portray Naomi and Felix respectively, who serve as "new friends of Elle." Lastly, Thibault de Montalembert portrays Nick's father, Stephane.
