Netflix's adaptation of the popular animated series concludes with third season
Avatar: The Last Airbender season 3 is the upcoming season of Netflix's action-fantasy TV series developed by Albert Kim. It serves as the live-action adaptation of the celebrated Nickelodeon animated series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko which ran from 2005-2008. After Kim stepped down from showrunning duties a few months following the release of season 1, Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani became the new leaders for the second and third seasons.
Netflix renewed the popular series for two additional seasons following the release of its first season in 2024. Season 1 led Netflix's global streaming chart for the week of February 19–25, with 154.4 million hours viewed by 21.2 million viewers in its debut week.
Avatar: The Last Airbender stars Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai.
The supporting cast includes Maria Zhang as Suki, Paul Sun-Hyung as Uncle Iroh, Elizabeth Yu as Azula, Momona Tamada as Ty Lee, Thalia Tran as Mei, Lim Kay Siu as Monk Gyatso, and Ken Leung as Commander Zhao.
