Synopsis
Ahsoka Tano faces Grand Admiral Thrawn and the resurgence of the Dark Side without her Jedi title
Ahsoka Tano, who was once instructed by Anakin Skywalker and was recognized as a Jedi Knight, no longer holds that title. She faces a formidable opponent in the form of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a cruel and conniving officer in the Galactic Empire. Furthermore, supporters of the Dark Side are reemerging from hiding to assist the return of an ancient malevolence. Despite being chased by Baylon Skoll and his pupil Shin Hati, who survived Order 66, Ahsoka is not alone as she has allies by her side.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni helm limited Star Wars series on Disney+ with Rosario Dawson in lead role
Ahsoka is a Disney+ action sci-fi limited series from Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. The series set in the Star Wars universe, created by George Lucas, features Rosario Dawson as the titular character. She reprises her role from The Mandalorian, with the series not only acting as a spin-off to The Mandalorian but also carries on the plotline from the animated series, Star Wars: Rebels. Ahsoka also introduces several popular animated characters like Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger to the live-action format for the first time.
Favreau and Filoni are a renowned duo in the Disney Star Wars universe, having previously collaborated on The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Filoni is recognized for his work on various animated Star Wars projects such as The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Bad Batch, and Tales of the Jedi. Ahsoka comprises of eight episodes, all of which are written by Filoni who also directs three episodes. Additionally, Peter Ramsey, Steph Green, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa also handle directing duties.
The miniseries is led by Rosario Dawson playing the character Ahsoka and it features several key figures from the animated Star Wars TV shows such as Natasha Liu Bordizzo portraying Sabine Wren, the beloved Mandalorian warrior. Eman Esfandi stars as Ezra Bridger and Lars Mikkelsen portrays the fearsome Grand Admiral Thrawn. Genevieve O'Reilly reprises her role as Mon Mothma, a character she previously played in Andor, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The cast also includes Ray Stevenson and Ivanna Sakhno as the Dark Force users Baylon Skoll and Shin Hati respectively. David Tennant reprises his role as Huyang, the droid responsible for crafting lightsabers, a character he originally voiced in The Clone Wars. Additionally, Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka’s former Jedi Master who later becomes a Sith Lord.
