Synopsis
Unemployed soon-to-be mother Elizabeth Zott inspires 1960s housewives with her cooking TV show
When Elizabeth Zott’s ideas on how and where a woman should fit into society challenge the expectations of her scientific colleagues, she is fired from her lab. Unemployed with a baby on the way, she accepts an offer to host cooking television show ‘Supper at Six’, and uses her new platform to inspire housewives across the country and share her wisdom.

Lessons in Chemistry season 1 is the first season of the Apple TV+ drama series. Adapted from Bonnie Garmus’ 2022 novel of the same name, Academy Award nominee Susannah Grant (Unbelievable, Pocahontas, Erin Brockovich) writes the screenplay with Lee Eisenberg (Little America, Bad Teacher) serving as creator and showrunner.
Along with her executive producer duties, Academy Award winner Brie Larson (Room, Captain Marvel) stars as protagonist Elizabeth Zott. Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick) co-stars as Calvin Evans, Elizabeth’s love interest. Aja Naomi King (How To Get Away With Murder) plays Harriet Slone, Stephanie Koenig (The Flight Attendant) plays Fran Frask, Patrick Walker (Gaslit) plays Wakely, Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory) plays Walter, Thomas Mann (Me, Earl and the Dying Girl) plays Boryweitz, Beau Bridges (The Fabulous Baker Boys) plays Wilson, with Ashley Monique Clark as Martha Wakeley and Derek Cecil as Dr. Robert Donatti.
