J.W. Wells & Co's two new interns, Paul and Sophie are learning about ancient magic under their compelling CEO Humphrey Wells (Christoph Waltz) and middle manager Dennis Tanner (Sam Neill). They soon uncover the truth about their new employers and the true agenda of their work.
Based on Tom Holt's seven book series of the same name, The Portable Door is a supernatural mystery movie. Produced by The Jim Henson Company and Story Bridge Films, The Portable Door is directed by Jeffrey Walker. Leon Ford writes the screenplay and Australian musician Benjamin Speed handles the score.
The Portable Door stars two-time Academy Award-winning actor Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) as Humphrey Wells. He is joined by the acclaimed actor, Sam Neill who is known for his roles in the Jurassic Park movies as well as the hit television show Peaky Blinders. Patrick Gibson and Sophie Wilde lead the movie playing Paul Carpenter and Sophie Pettingel respectively, the two interns at the heart of the story. Miranda Otto, Rachel House, Jessica De Gouw, and Chris Pang round out the cast.
