Synopsis
This features all ten episodes of this smash-hit comedy series, first broadcast on ITV in 1974. As the head of the Abbott household, and a representative for a stationery firm, Sid continues to expect respect and compassion from his family. He doesn't expect to be harangued and harassed for every waking hour. At least that's how he sees it. As he still falls foul of the generation gap, it's down (as always) to wife Jean Abbott (Diane Coupland - The Twelve Chairs, The Best Pair of Legs in the Business) son Mike (Robin Stewart - The Timeless Land, The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires) and daughter Sally (Sally Geeson - Carry on Girls, Carry on Abroad) to keep Sid on track. Although they can't quell his avid passion for the three 'C's in life - Chelsea Football Club, Courage Bitter and Crumpet.
