Back on the streets of Manhattan, Carrie Bradshaw and her friends Miranda and Charlotte are continuing to live, laugh, and learn. Miranda is upping the ante with new lover Che Diaz, and Charlotte continues to navigate motherhood as her children challenge her sometimes prudish worldviews. As for Carrie, she's moved into the casual sex phase of mourning for Big — until an old flame appears on her doorstep.
And Just Like That… Season 2 is the second season of HBO’s comedy-drama hit Sex and the City reboot series. After the wild success of the original series, which spanned six seasons from 1998 to 2004 and resulted in two spin-off films, the first season of And Just Like That... was released in 2021. The series is created once more by the original Sex and the City creator Darren Star, and developed by Michael Patrick King. King also serves as executive producer alongside the series’ stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon.
The series that follows the post-pandemic lives of three fifty-something best friends once again stars Sarah Jessica Parker as columnist and shoe enthusiast Carrie Bradshaw. She is joined by Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, a lawyer turned master’s student. Kristin Davis once again portrays Charlotte York, an art dealer turned housewife to two growing children. While Sex and the City featured Samantha Jones played by Kim Cattrall as one of the core group of friends, the character only makes a surprise cameo in And Just Like That… having previously been seen only in text messages. Other faces from the original series return, including Evan Handler as Charlotte’s husband Harry, and Mario Cantone as her friend Anthony. Also back for more is John Corbett as Carrie’s historic ex, Aidan Shaw. Sara Ramirez will reprise her role as Che Diaz, Carrie’s boss and Miranda’s new love interest, and Seema will once again be played by Sarita Choudhury. New cast members for season 2 include Sam Smith and Tony Danza.
