New Zealand musician Hayden Chisholm travels the country, encountering hip hop from Cologne or soul from the Ore Mountains. “Entertaining, surprising and melancholic!” (ttt) During his quest for a sound of the German homeland (“Heimat”), Hayden Chisholm, a musician from New Zealand, crisscrosses the country. He encounters soul from the Ore Mountains, listens to hip hop beats in the Cologne dialect, rocks the Antistadl and accompanies some polkas with his saxophone. As a foreigner in Germany, Chisholm opens some unusual perspectives. His conclusion from his musical road trip is that German folk music is much more versatile than the old-fashioned Schlager music from the TV program “Musikantenstadl”!
