Synopsis
The youth of 2019 are living in a harsh world, navigating the unstable job market, romance-less dating, and calculated marriages. However, there was once a time when things were even tougher than today. Confucian ideals, such as the separation of men and women from the age of seven, are strongly upheld by society. There are also strict rules about marriage that only allow people to marry within their social class, wealth, and age. And they didn't even get to see their future spouse until the day of the wedding! In this Joseon-era matchmaking romance, we meet three men each with a story of his own. They become matchmakers, an unusual profession for a man living in Joseon, and end up taking on the great feat of making a match for the King himself. In an unfortunate time when “No” was the answer to most questions, these three daring young men defy the rules of society. “You only live once, so might as well risk it all on love! Isn’t that right?”
