Synopsis
First aired in 1990, Drop the Dead Donkey is a cult comedy that launched the careers of several successful comic actors. Set in the offices of Globelink News, the series is based around the lives of a set of egotistical, eccentric characters that make up the news team of a fictional TV station. Drop the Dead Donkey takes an over-the-top look at the conflict between old-school news journalists and media owners more concerned with ratings and profits than the truth.
