Kid Criminals - Season 1 (2015)

Meet the 13 to 15 year-old inmates of the USA’s most notorious juvenile institutions. Filmed in the state of Indiana, we get to know the boys and girls who have committed serious, often shocking crimes. The guards and staff also provide us with an intimate portrayal into life in a juvenile prison. We uncover the intake process first-hand, gain access to the segregation unit where the most violent and aggressive inmates are and meet the teens on the sex offenders unit. We also see the families of inmates at visiting time, and the relatives at home to discover more about the environment the inmates grew up in and the reality of having a young member of the family locked up.
