Tina Fey revives the iconic 2000's film Mean Girls in this new-age musical movie adaptation
Mean Girls is a musical comedy film written by Tina Fey. The film is a movie adaptation of a Broadway stage musical based on Tina Fey's 2004 film of the same name. The movie is produced by Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels, the creator of Saturday Night Live, under the banner of Paramount Pictures. Arturo Perez Jr. and Samantha Jayne come onboard to direct the series.
The movie stars Angourie Rice as the new girl, Cady Heron. From The Plastics we have, Renee Rapp replacing Rachel McAdams as queen bee, Regina George. Bebe Wood plays the role of Gretchen, while Telugu-American actor Avantika Vandanapu steps in to play the role of Karen Shetty. Christopher Briney stars as Aaron Samuels. Auli'i Cravalho, and Jaquel Spivey play the roles of the outcasts Janet and Damian Hubbard. Jon Hamm from Mad Men joins the cast as the beloved Coach Carr. From the original cast we have Tina Fey and Tim Meadows reprising their original roles as Miss Norbury and Principal Duvall from the previous film.
