Society of the Snow (2023)

Society of the Snow retells a famous real-life survival tale but does so in a way that is respectful and sensitive to the survivors. It isn't a movie for the faint of the heart, as it accurately captures the harrowing experiences of a group of plane crash survivors in the Andes. At the same time, the harrowing elements aren't sensationalized, allowing for more humanization and inspiration. If one can stomach the grisly aspects and appreciate the respect offered to the film's subjects, there is awe to be found in this story of human resilience and determination.
