Synopsis
From Emmy®-nominated executive producer Issa Rae (HBO’s Insecure), Rap Sh!t follows two estranged friends from Miami who reunite to form a rap group. Stuck in a dead-end job and itching for change, conscious rapper Shawna (Aida Osman) connects with former friend Mia (KaMillion), a single mom-slash-make-up artist with multiple side hustles – and together they chase viral fame. Joined by promoter/manager Chastity (Jonica Booth) and aspiring producer Lamont (RJ Cyler), the pair navigate the murky waters of stardom while managing their personal lives – all through the omnipresent lens of social media. Co-executive produced by hip-hop duo City Girls, this relatable comedy follows Shawna and Mia as they attempt to make their mark on the music industry without compromising who they are.
