Synopsis
Detective Danner ensures no stone is left unturned following a groom’s murder at his own wedding
Detective Danner returns to assist Aniq and Zoë in solving a mystery by interrogating every wedding guest following the murder of a groom during his own marriage ceremony. Each suspect provides their own version of events from the wedding, portrayed in a distinctive visual style, which helps the detectives piece together the clues and identify the culprit.

The Afterparty season 2 is the second season for the murder mystery comedy TV series on Apple TV+. It is created by Christopher Miller and executive produced by Miller and his creative writing partner Phil Lord with Anthony King. King previously wrote one episode of The Afterparty in season 1 and has since been upgraded to co-showrunner with Miller for the second season. The first season followed the murder of a pop star at his high school reunion. Season 2 focuses on a groom’s untimely demise at his wedding. The first season ran for eight episodes while season 2 was given two additional episodes.
Tiffany Haddish reprises her role as Detective Danner for the second season of The Afterparty. Other returning cast members include Sam Richardson who portrays escape room expert, Aniq, and Zoë Chao who plays Aniq’s high school crush, Zoë. Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu round out the cast along with Ken Jeong and John Cho as series regulars.
