Synopsis
Charlotte’s return with fiancé Ralph causes intrigue in the seaside resort of Sanditon
Upon returning to Sanditon with her fiancé Ralph, Charlotte's appearance is creating a commotion in the town. The news of Ralph's unfamiliarity with the town is rapidly spreading and causing intrigue among the residents. Meanwhile, Alexander Colbourne, Charlotte's former romantic interest, is displeased with this new turn of events. While the people of Sanditon are determined to find answers, the couple must first overcome the challenges hindering their happiness.

Season 3 marks the final season of this PBS period drama
Sanditon season 3 is the final season of the historical drama series that is based on an incomplete manuscript by Jane Austen, a prominent British author. The series was developed by Andrew Davies and is the final installment of the Sanditon series. Davies utilized most of the characters created by Austen and proceeded to craft the narrative independently. Andrew Davies is an acclaimed screenwriter with a lengthy career in television including notable adaptations of Jane Austen's works like 1995’s Pride and Prejudice and 2008’s Sense and Sensibility. He also shares screenwriting credits with Richard Curtis and Helen Fielding for two Bridget Jones movies.
Rose Williams stars as Charlotte Heywood with Cai Bridgen as her fiancé Ralph Starling in their return to Sanditon. Crystal Clarke portrays Georgiana Lambe while Ben Lloyd-Hughes plays Alexander Colbourne, the man who still has feelings for Charlotte. Edward Davis joins the cast as Lord Montrose, a mysterious new character.
