Synopsis
Redemption or ruin: a boxer's battle against a criminal organization following crushing loss
At the lowest point of his boxing career after a crushing defeat, Esteban “La Máquina” Osuna (Gael García Bernal) struggles to bounce back. His closest friend and manager, Andy Lujan (Diego Luna), is determined to help him reclaim his former glory. However, the stakes of the rematch escalate when a sinister organization emerges, turning it into a life-or-death situation. As Esteban confronts his inner demons, he must also protect his journalist ex-wife Irasema (Eiza González) who is caught in the dark underbelly of boxing.
