Chickens - Season 1 (2013)

It’s 1914, and as the Great War rages, the brave and bold menfolk are fighting the good fight on foreign soil. But in one sleepy English village three young men remain: George, a conscientious objector, Cecil, a reject from the army on health grounds, and Bert, an amoral philandering scaredy-cat. They couldn’t be more different, but in the eyes of their neighbours they’re all the same – chickens. In a world of women and children, these three only have each other for company, and nothing else in common. With every other man abroad, can George, Cecil and Bert claw themselves back into the good books of the ladies on the home front, and avoid being branded as cowards?
