When the Avengers infiltrate a Hydra base, they encounter Makoto, Adi, and Chloe—bio-soldiers created by Hydra through genetic engineering. During a battle against Hydra’s leader Red Skull, the Avengers risk their lives to save the kids. Having nowhere else to go, the kids ask the Avengers to make them apprentices, and Iron Man/Tony Stark and the Avengers take custody of the kids and help them to develop their yet to mature superhuman powers. The Avengers protect, guide, and fight alongside them until they become the true heroes.
