Synopsis
Western Australia is plunged into darkness, and its residents are put to the test
Set in 1979 Western Australia, Perth is in the world’s spotlight. When a power strike threatens the stability of the region, just as it is gearing up to host the Miss Universe pageant, a series of cultural and political shifts form as the residents of a coastal community are tested to their limits.

Last Days of the Space Age is an Australian Disney+ original series. The show is written and created by David Chidlow (Hidden, Moving On), with Dot West, Alice Addison, Jeremy Nguyen and Alan Nguyen on the writing team. The series is directed by Rachel Ward (Devil’s Playground), Bharat Nalluri (Shantaram, Little America) and Kriv Stenders (Red Dog). Last Days of the Space Age is produced by Princess Pictures. The series was filmed in Perth, Sydney and Wollongong.
Jesse Spencer (House, Chicago Fire) and Radha Mitchell (Pitch Black) star as married couple Tony and Judy Bissett. Their neighbours, Eileen Wilberforce and Sandy Bui, are played by Deborah Mailman (Total Control) and Linh-Dan Pham (The Beat That My Heart Skipped). The series also includes Game of Thrones’s Iain Glen, The Power of the Dog’s George Mason, Sam Delich, Vico Thai, Ines English, Jacek Koman, Mackenzie Mazur, Emily Grant, Thomas Weatherall and Aidan Chiem.
