Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse return in their double BAFTA award-winning sketch show. This fourth series introduces new characters such as the incomprehensible Horse Trainers, the hard-bitten American Cops, the overlooked but jolly Minor Royals, the gossipy 50s Typists, the bizarrely threatening Portuguese Curse Lady, and the Scotsman who knows that Everything's Better in Scotland. Meanwhile, When Life Was Simpler reminds us of a time before the need for such nuisances as holding a driving licence or remembering the name of your wife. The series also brings back old favourites such as the Surgeons, I Saw You Coming, Is He a Quare, and Dragon's Den. One-offs include re-imaginings of Question Time, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The King's Speech, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and episode introductions give us various new identities for Harry and Paul themselves, as pipe-smoking golfers, as stars of a Mike Leigh film, and as the creators of a new Ricky Gervais-style TV series.
