When Peter Pan flies into Wendy Darling’s house while trying to find his lost shadow, the two set off on a quest to protect the Lost Boys on Neverland. Wendy’s brothers Michael and John also join for the adventure. Wendy and Peter soon face off against the villainous Captain Hook, who is desperate for revenge after being bested by Peter Pan. Peter Pan and Wendy is a story of friendship, as the duo embark on a journey filled with adventure and excitement.
Peter Pan and Wendy is a fantasy adventure film, based on the original animated movie Peter Pan. The production of this film has been long-going, with director David Lowery (Pete’s Dragon, The Green Knight) working on the film since 2016. Lowery returns with frequent collaborators, screenwriter Toby Halbrooks, producer James Whitaker and cinematographer Bojan Bazelli. Daniel Hart, who has scored all of David Lowery’s films to date, has also signed on to the project.
Alexander Molony plays Peter Pan in his feature film debut, with Ever Anderson (Black Widow) co-starring as Wendy. Ever Anderson is the daughter of film director Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil) and Milla Jovovich (Zoolander). Jude Law (A.I Artificial Intelligence, The Holiday) plays the iconic baddie Captain Hook. Comedian Jim Gaffigan plays Mr. Smee, Yara Shahidi (Black-ish) as Tinker Bell, Alyssa Wapanatahk as Tiger Lily, with Molly Parker and Alan Tudyk (A Knight’s Tale) as Mary and George Darling respectively.
In most adaptations of Peter Pan, George Darling and Captain Hook are played by the same actor, but they will be portrayed by different actors in this film.
