Too Much (2025)

As someone who barely (maybe even never?) watches Lena Dunham projects, I’m not going to lie, I tuned into Too Much for Megan Stalter. I fell in love with her in Hacks and was curious to see if she could carry a show like this. And the answer is yes. Stalter has a knack for playing those kinds of messy, chaotic characters you can’t help but find endearing even if they annoy you (and maybe even frighten you) at first. I’d argue there is humor here for everybody, but millennials and Gen Z are the target audiences. Those of you who loved Girls, might just find your next binge watch here.

Too Much feels like a love letter both to the classic rom-com and to any woman or girl who has been told they're "too much." The series will especially appeal to you if you loved Girls, with both series coming from Lena Dunhman and boasting her signature, bold sense of humor. Feeling like a cross between Fleabag and Normal People, Too Much delves into culture clashes and romance with humor and irreverence. However, there's also a sweetness to the series as it uplifts and rallies for women with strong personalities, advocating for them never to let anyone dim their light.
