Synopsis
X-Men's future imperiled by Sinister's plot as Storm and Wolverine fight to keep them going
Storm and Wolverine attempt to keep the X-Men going, however they face interference from Magneto who wants to take on Charles Xavier's role after the Professor is recovering in a faraway planet. To complicate matters further, mutant DNA harvester Sinister appears with the goal of putting an end to the X-Men permanently.

X-Men ‘97 continues where the original iconic X-Men: The Animated Series concluded
X-Men ‘97 is a superhero animated TV series created by Beau DeMayo on Disney+. The show serves as a revival of the popular X-Men: The Animated Series developed by Eric Lewald, Sidney Iwanter and Mark Edens which ran from 1992-1997. Both titles are based on the X-Men comic series by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The story revolves around a group of mutants who live in a world where their presence is viewed negatively by society. However, the group remains resolute in using their extraordinary abilities for the betterment of the world. X-Men '97 showrunner DeMayo has previously written on such TV shows as The Witcher, Moon Knight and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. He also wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf from 2021.
The entire original voice cast from the animated series reprise their roles for the revival including Cal Dodd as James Howlett/Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Anna-Marie Raven/Rogue, George Buza as Dr. Henry "Hank" McCoy/Beast, Catherine Disher as Jean Grey, Chris Potter as Remy LeBeau/Gambit, Alison Sealy-Smith as Ororo Munroe/Storm, Adrian Hough as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler and Christopher Britton as Nathaniel Essex/Mister Sinister.
