Leah Purcell, Aaron Pederson & Ian McElhinney star in Foxtel drama ‘High Country’
High Country is a detective series on Foxtel and BINGE. The show is created by Marcia Gardner and John Ridley, who both worked on Wentworth Prison and Stingray together. The executive producers of High Country are Jo Porter, Rachel Gardner, Penny Win, Marcia Gardner and John Ridley, with Pino Amenta and Sue Edwards producing. The series consists of eight episodes, and was filmed in Victoria.
Leah Purcell AM (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, The Drover's Wife) leads the cast of High Country as Detective Andrea Whitford. Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Aaron Pederson (Mystery Road) co-star opposite Purcell in the murder mystery series. Sara Wiseman, known for her roles in Rake and A Place To Call Home, stars as Helen Hartley.
Jamie Timony plays Liam Mason, with Leah Vandeberg as Tammy Samson, Luke McKenzie as Travis McMahon, Simon Maiden as Russell Shanks, and Louise Siversen as Inspector McElroy. The cast of the show also includes Nathaniel Dean, Shannon Berry, Linda Cropper, Geoff Morrell, Henry Nixon, Nicholas Bell, Pedrea Jackson and Trisha Morton-Johnson.
