When Wendy meets Peter Pan, a daring young boy who refuses to grow up, he brings her and her two brothers to his home in Neverland. There she meets the Lost Boys (and Girls), and a small fairy named Tinker Bell, finally finding her tribe. But even Neverland has its villains too, and after encountering the evil Captain Hook, the newcomers embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
Peter Pan & Wendy is a fantasy-adventure film produced by Disney. The live-action film is originally based on the 1954 animated Disney film, Peter Pan. The film is directed by David Lowrey, who signed on to the film in 2016 after his success on Disney production Pete’s Dragon. Lowrey returns along with other members of the Pete’s Dragon creative team, including Toby Halbrooks as screenwriter, James Whitaker as producer, and Bojan Bazelli as the cinematographer. The score is written by violinist and classical composer Daniel Hart.
The boy who won’t grow up, Peter Pan, is played by newcomer Alexander Molony in his feature film debut. Ever Anderson plays Wendy Darling. Anderson is the daughter of filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson and actor, model, and singer Milla Jovovich. Jude Law stars as the villainous one-handed Captain Hook, and he is joined by Jim Gaffigan as the comical Mr. Smee. Yara Shahidi puts on the tutu as Tinker Bell, the mischievous little fairy, and Alyssa Wapanatâhk plays Tiger Lily. Joshua Pickering and Jacobi Jupe appear as Wendy’s brothers, John and Michael. The Lost Boys and Girls include Noah Matthews Matofsky as Slightly, Sebastian Billingsley-Rodriguez as Nibs, Skyler and Kelsey Yates as twins Tudy and Rudy, Florence Bensberg as Curly, Caelan Edie as Tootles, Diana Tsoy as Birdie, and Felix de Sousa as Bellweather. Alan Tudyk and Molly Parker feature as Wendy’s parents.
