Lizzie McGuire’s animated alter ego always lets you know what she’s thinking. After reading a book about mother/daughter relationships for a class assignment, Lizzie decides she and her mom need to be best friends. When Lizzie begrudgingly agrees to stay home to babysit, she becomes furious when Matt and Lanny destroy her dad’s prized autographed football. If that isn’t enough, Lizzie and Miranda’s friendship is put in jeopardy when Lizzie fails to stand up for Miranda’s innocence after she’s accused of shoplifting at the mall.
