The story follows Men Ke, an ordinary office worker whose life is upended when she contracts a mysterious alien illness during an interstellar conflict. This condition makes her susceptible to death if she experiences boredom. To survive, Men Ke must navigate her mundane daily routine while seeking excitement to keep the illness at bay. She is aided by Ya Sen, an enthusiastic but somewhat inept alien hero determined to save her. Together, they embark on a journey to infuse Men Ke's life with meaning and vitality, confronting various challenges and forming unexpected bonds along the way.
