Synopsis
This compelling two-part documentary charts the political rise and fall of former Australian Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam: an idealistic but flawed visionary who remains the most loved and hated politician in our nation’s history. Whitlam examines an era and the man when, as a country, we were arguably at our most confident and flamboyant – when we took risks and went to the margins.
