Ironheart is an upcoming action superhero television series on Disney+. Created by Snowpiercer and The Midnight Club writer Chinaka Hodge, the series is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and takes place in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It is the twelfth television series in the MCU. Ironheart season 1 has six episodes, with three directed by Sam Bailey, and the other three helmed by Angela Barnes (Atlanta).
Dominique Thorne reprises her role as Riri Williams / Ironheart, having previously played the role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Anthony Ramos (Hamilton, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) plays the series antagonist Parker Robbins / The Hood, whose magical hood allows him to tap into the dark arts. Jim Rash returns to his role from Captain America: Civil War as the Dean of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Lyric Ross stars as Williams’ best friend, alongside Harper Anthony, Manny Montana, Sacha Baron Cohen, Alden Ehrenreich, Shea Couleé, Zoe Terakes, Shakira Barrera, Regan Aliyah, and Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola.
